Cross-processing effect

I was playing with Lightroom 4, Photoshop and a demo of Color Efex Pro 2 today and came up with the shot below. I normalized the picture in Lightroom, did a bit of retouching of brown spots in Photoshop and then took it over to Color Efex Pro 2. The filter I used there was cross-processing.

Cross-processing is a technique originally where film was processed using the wrong chemicals. That would cause a color shift when the picture was printed.

Digitally this is done by playing with hue/saturation, contrast and curves.

I like how this came out. The rose stayed pretty much the same, but the tint in the background adds a different dimension.
